A little piece of all-inclusive joy

I recently spent 4 nights and 5 days in the Dominican Republic. It was a fantastic experience overall. I highly recommend staying at an all-inclusive if you never have. The top five reasons this will now be on rotation for me:

  1. Access to various foods, local and familiar around the clock. Time zone changes are hard, but the 13 onsite restaurants had something for everyone. Admittedly, I am a vegetarian on a keto diet, so food was hard, but even I still had plenty.

  2. A chance to unwind. There are activities for all interests, but you can just spend the day laying on the beach or at one of the pools. It's hard for me to sit still, but I managed to do just that here. We also had access to the gym which we did take advantage of as well because exercise is relaxing for me. My Fitbit was happy with all the steps we got in as well. Even the casino was relaxing and I won some money too... I think the slots in the DR are much more forgiving than in Vegas.

  3. Well-appointed rooms. We even had a hot tub on the balcony! Much like on a cruise, except more room to stretch my legs.

  4. Entertainment. There were shows to see and places to go. We even enjoyed a circus on one of our nights here without having to leave the property.

  5. My personal favorite, no hidden expenses. I was able to pay upfront for the trip and not worry about added expenses during vacation. Of course, there were options to upgrade or purchase things, but the beauty was that was a choice, not a necessity.

Enjoy some of the beautiful views.

Have you been to an all-inclusive? How did you experience stack up?
